I’m Jasmine Gierman, a passionate and creative fashion design graduate with a passion for blending innovative design concepts with technical craftsmanship. I graduated from University of Cincinnati’s Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning program, where I developed a strong foundation in fashion design, garment construction, and pattern-making, while constantly exploring new ways to interpret traditional design.
Fashion, for me, is more than just clothing—it’s an expression of identity, culture, and individuality. I find myself constantly inspired by the world around me and within me—whether it’s the dynamic lives of those around me, the complexity of my own internal thoughts, or the rich history of textile craftsmanship. I am particularly interested in historical fashion and the intricacy of garment construction during those times and how they are still implemented into design today. I believe in creating timeless pieces that stand the test of trends and offer both visual interest and functionality.
Throughout my academic career, I have experimented with a wide range of techniques, machinery, and materials, from digitally-drawn illustrations to 3D garment draping. My process is driven by an attention to detail and an eagerness to explore how design can serve not only as an extension of personal expression but as functional garments. Whether it’s through intentional fabric choices, compelling silhouettes, or draping techniques, I am committed to creating pieces that inspire and empower those who wear them.
In my portfolio, you will find a selection of my work that represents my journey as a designer, from initial concepts to finished garments. Each piece is a reflection of my creative vision, technical skill, and dedication to the art of fashion design. I’m excited to continue growing as a designer and to collaborate with like-minded professionals who are equally passionate about fashion.
